Hunting Elusive WiFi Signals? Wi-Fire Will Serve You Well
Lately, we’ve been seeing WiFi Planet’s September 2009 Wi-Fire review being re-carried by blogs and also increasing once again as a big referral site to hField.
We agree it’s well worth a second look – you can find it here.
WiFi Planet’s tests were run at about 300 feet and had to penetrate concrete block walls:
“…the notebook’s internal adapter detected nine networks, but only two of them had signals strong enough to allow a reliable, if weak, connection. When scanning with the Wi-Fire, we detected an additional six networks, for a total of fifteen. This time, we could easily connect to any of the original nine networks, as well as four of the six new ones.”
WiFi Planet declared the Wi-Fire to be “… well worth it given the Wi-Fire’s demonstrated ability to make a richer stew out of thin WiFi gruel. When you’re out hunting elusive WiFi signals, the Wi-Fire is a “bigger boat” (a Jaws reference you’ll read earlier in the review) that will serve you well.”
Whether it’s do or die against Jaws, you’re touring in your RV, or just relaxing in the backyard, nothing beats a Wi-Fire for reliable connectivity – the Long Range WiFi Adapter of choice around the world.
