Long Range Wi-Fire Benefits Remote Homeowners!
Everyone knows we dislike talking about “bars“. Those signal bars, that is. Bars of signal strength are horribly inaccurate and the readings are distorted between an internally connected Wi-Fi adapter and externally connected adapters.
The Wi-Fire unfortunately also is not designed to be measured by bars, further distorting this type of comparison.
The best readings for the Wi-Fire can be found in the Wi-Fire Connection Manager which is accurate, unlike the bar readings, and very finely tuned – they have to be so we can allow you to find your maximum signal strength.
But here’s another story – of many we receive in our mailbox as well - of someone in a remote home without broadband service who suddenly has high speed connections by using a Wi-Fire. Despite that signal strength differences between the Wi-Fire and the internal adapter are always larger than they seem with the bars, 2 bars and no connectivity became 4 to 5 bars and great connectivity with the Wi-Fire. Even behind walls and other interference plus a completely unknown distance, the Wi-Fire still gives 2 bars where there were none, and, MORE IMPORTANTLY, a great connetion and high speed service.
