On the Job, “Dead in the Water” Without the Wi-Fire(TM)
As the Superintendent on this construction site, Don Stephenson needs to stay logged in to his company’s server. Usually, he does this via VPN using a cellular data card.
Not here! Up on the mountaintop behind hField’s headquarters where the new construction is starting, Don had spotty connections. Every time he was dropped, and it was frequently, he needed to go through a laborious log-in process – through three login screens. It was killing his productivity. All issues, all changes, every activity needs to be reported through his Company’s system.
Enter hField and the Wi-Fire! In Bethlehem PA, hField is a household name. And the Wi-Fire is known globally as the high performance, long range Wi-Fi Adapter of choice. So Don dropped by and asked for help getting connected to a long range wireless network.
One of hField’s techs went to Don’s site office and quickly found a public Wi-Fi source about 500 feet away, behind several solid cement block walls. The internal Wi-Fi adapter in Don’s laptop couldn’t even see this available network connection. It was a breeze for hField to load the Wi-Fire Connection Manager on the laptop, plug in a Wi-Fire and get Don connected with high speed Wi-Fi.
No more dropped connections for Don who also now has Megabit Wi-Fi speeds. In Don’s own words, “Without the Wi-Fire, I’d be dead in the water”.
Tens of thousands have had similar experiences. Wi-Fire adds productivity and decreases frustration for those who use Wi-Fi.
