Scotland Loves Wi-Fire
Here’s a performance testimonial on the Wi-Fire from a Customer in Scotland who was so impressed, he put quite a bit of work into documenting and presenting his experience.
In Scotland as in most of Europe, they use the Wi-Fire CE model (model number HFWFG200-CE) which is the version which conforms to the CE regulations in effect in Europe. These are only slightly different than the rest of the world but there are differences that require a different model number. By the way, this is a matter of importation of the product into Europe at the time of sale. Both the CE model number above and the standard HFWFG200 Wi-Fire are compatible with Wi-Fi systems all around the world.
At any rate, the image above pretty well speaks for itself. You can see for yourself that this Customer is getting very good connections over distances in excess of 2,000 feet (greater than 600 meters). And where his normal adapter could not even find a network, he was able to see over 30 networks with the Wi-Fire. Here is how he described his experience in his own words:
“I tested it out from where the X is on the map and I am very impressed with the Wi-Fire. I tested wireless using my built in adaptor and a wireless dongle which never found any wireless networks. I then plugged in the Wi-Fire and found over 30 wireless networks. The distance the Wi-Fire reaches far exceeds the 1000 feet with the longest one giving me a reading of 38%+ (signal strength – this is actually a very strong connection with the Wi-Fire which gives you “true” signal strength readings) going to the other two from 44% up to about 65% with nearer place from 65% up to 99%.”
